AQUADECANT® AD
Decanter for SBR systems

DESCRIPTION
The Aquadecant® AD decanter is an equipment intended for the extraction of clarified water once the sedimentation process of SBR or similar system reactors has finished.
It is characterized by its reliability and very low maintenance, being a device capable of operating for long periods of time without the need for attention.
APPLICATIONS
SBR systems for urban and industrial wastewater.
Surface extraction systems for drinking water in lakes, ponds, and storage tanks.
OPERATION
The Aquadecant® AD decanter collects the clarified water from the surface by means of an inverted cone with a studied design that does not create turbulence and prevents the aspiration of sludge or floating substances.
To discharge clarified water, the discharge valve is opened (if the system works by gravity) or the pump is started (if the system works by pumping) and the water begins to enter in the inverted cone of the decanter and is led to the outside by means of hoses or pipes.
Model MC (Mechanically Closed) decanters, also keep the inverted cone closed during the entire aeration and agitation process and only open it when the clarified water is discharged.
CONSTRUCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS
Equipment completely made of AISI 304 stainless steel as standard, and AISI 316 as an option, in all its submerged parts.
Stainless steel floats filled with high density polyurethane.
Fastening system using stainless steel cables and springs or guide tubes depending on the configuration of the tank and water levels.
ADVANTAGES
– Safe design with a special water intake that produces a minimum disturbance in the sludge surface, which decreases the settling time.
– Simple and resistant equipment made of stainless steel.
– Floating installation and designed to work with different levels of water.
– Discharges the clean supernatant after the sedimentation cycle, its design prevents the aspiration and discharge of floating materials.
– Ideal solution for SBR reactors, adjustable flow rates from 10 to 2,000 m3/h.
